Plan links and storefront
Signup links that let a new client pick a plan and start on their own.
A plan link lets a new client sign up and pay for a plan on their own, without you creating their workspace or sending a payment link. Put it on your website or in an email, and new clients arrive already subscribed.
Plan: Requires a plan that includes white-label (Agency or Agency Pro by default)
- Stripe is connected. See Connect Stripe.
- At least one client plan.
- Your Wozena subscription is active. See Your Wozena plan.
What a plan link is#
Each plan can have one stable link to a signup page on your branded portal. The page shows the plan’s public name, price and features next to a signup form. Payment happens on Stripe Checkout, on your Stripe account, so card details never pass through your site or Wozena.
The link is created the first time you make a plan available and it doesn’t change afterwards, even if you rename the plan. Links you have already published keep pointing at the same plan.
When a link works#
A plan link works only when all three of these are true:
| Condition | Where to set it |
|---|---|
| The plan’s “Status” is “Active” | Edit the plan in Client BillingPlans. Archived plans have no link. |
| “Availability” is “Hidden — link works, not listed” or “Publicly purchasable” | The Storefront section of the plan. The default, “Internal only — link disabled”, has no link. |
| “Allow clients to self-register on your signup page” is on | On White-label. See The client portal. |
If self-signup is off, the plan card warns you: “Enable client self-signup in Branding before sharing this plan.”
Signups also respect your Wozena plan’s client and seat limits. If you are at your client limit, new signups can’t create a workspace until you upgrade or free up room.
What the link looks like#
Links follow the pattern https://your-portal-address/signup/plan-slug. The plan slug is made from the plan’s public name (or plan name) plus a short code that keeps it unique, for example growth-4f2a9c1e.
Links use your portal address. Once your custom domain is verified, copy the link again so you share the version on your own domain.
Copy link, Copy HTML and Preview#
On Client BillingPlans, each plan with a working link shows three buttons:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| “Copy link” | Copies the plan’s URL. You see “Buy now link copied”. |
| “Copy HTML” | Copies a ready-made Buy now link for your website. You see “Embed code copied”. |
| “Preview” | Opens the signup page in test mode. Account creation and charges are disabled, so you can check the page safely. |
The copied HTML is a plain link. With an example portal address and plan slug, it looks like this:
<a href="https://portal.youragency.com/signup/growth-4f2a9c1e">Buy now</a>Paste it anywhere your website builder accepts HTML. You can change the link text or add your site’s button class to match your design. Keep the href exactly as copied.
What the buyer goes through#
- Open the linkThe buyer sees your brand, the plan summary with its bullets and footnote, and a signup form.
- Sign upThey enter “Full name”, “Business / account name”, “Email” and “Password”, then click “Continue to secure checkout” (or “Start free” on a free plan).
- Verify their emailThey are asked to check their email and confirm their address. See Email and sending domain for which address it comes from.
- Pay, or start freeOn a free plan the workspace activates immediately. On a paid plan they go straight to Stripe Checkout to enter their card.
- Land in their workspaceAfter Stripe confirms the payment, the workspace unlocks. They land on the page you set in “After signup or checkout” and see your “Onboarding instructions”.
The new client appears in your Clients list with their subscription. Your next job is usually to build their agent.
Where to put your links#
- Your pricing page. Use “Copy HTML” for a Buy now button under each tier. Use “Publicly purchasable” plans here.
- Sales emails and follow-ups. Paste the link after a demo so the prospect can start the same day.
- Proposals and quotes. Create a plan with “Hidden — link works, not listed” for a custom deal and send only that prospect the link.
- Your agent demo page. Pair a link with a shared agent so prospects can hear it and then buy.
What signed-in clients can choose#
Availability also decides what client admins see in “Usage & Billing” in their portal:
| Availability | Listed in Usage & Billing | Client can buy or switch to it |
|---|---|---|
| “Publicly purchasable” | Yes | Yes |
| “Hidden — link works, not listed” | Only when they arrive through the plan link | Yes, through the link |
| “Internal only — link disabled” | No | No. You assign it with a payment link or free activation |
A client always sees the plan they’re already on, even if it’s Internal only or archived, and can resubscribe to it.
Troubleshooting#
A buyer who opens a link that doesn’t work sees “This plan is not available” and “The link may be disabled or out of date”. Check, in order:
| Check | Fix |
|---|---|
| Is the plan archived? | Edit the plan and set Status back to Active, or share a link for a current plan. |
| Is Availability set to Internal only? | Change it to Hidden or Publicly purchasable. |
| Is client self-signup off? | Turn on “Allow clients to self-register on your signup page” on White-label. |
| Is your Wozena subscription active? | Self-signup stops if your subscription ends. See failed payments. |
| Is Stripe connected? | Paid checkouts stop while Stripe is disconnected. See Connect Stripe. |
| No Copy link button on the plan card | The plan doesn’t meet the three conditions above yet. |
